Paper Sense Vs Math Achievement

Is there any link between a person’s number sense and mathematic accomplishment? Many say that number sense and arithmetic sense are different. It does not mean that a person with poor number sense will not solve the mathematical problems. The issue was taken to a practical study. Experts carried an image of yellow and blue dots which flashes on the computer screen every second. They presented it to 64 14 year olds and asked to estimate the dots. Some gave a equal number of dots but most of them could not solve. The same was shown to kindergarten children who performed the test well and scored high marks in both images and math achievement. Finally, the result noted was that the students who failed in the image test also received low grades in math training.
